Hand Maid May is another anime aimed squarely at the teenage male audience, but is amongst the cutest and funniest anime you can ever see. It's the story of a young robot inventor, struggling through university, whose world is suddenly sent spinning when he is sent a 6 inch tall robot, CBD May in the post.

May becomes housewife and keeper to Kazuya and as their relationship unfolds, he must fight off a range of debt collectors trying to take May away, not to mention keep under control the multitude of other CBD robots that keep turning up.

Hand Maid May aired in late 2000 on Japanese television, with 10 episodes, a new special aired recently, and all are available from the usual anime download IRC channels.

I don't think this is a series that would translate well for the Western market, and I've heard no rumours of a translation but it is well worth downloading. The Hand Maid Network is the official website of this series (in Japanese only *frown*). DVDs are available if you search through the Japanese anime online stores well enough, I can't determine if they have an english audio track. As far as I'm aware no manga exists of HMM.
