There's a million things I could put in this section but I thought I'd just give a run down of the bits of the net that focus on the "dark" that I use or used to use quite often.

Sydney Gothic

Sydney gothic is the Sydney focussed dark culture. Photos, forums, plenty of gig reviews and the weeky Events in Sydney newsletter.

Crankygoth

I won't delve into the quagmire of why Brisigoth became Crankygoth but this is the mailing list for crotchety old goths and black clad sys admins from around Brisbane. To subscribe visit the mailman pages for the list but be warned... you are not welcome ;)

Hellbane

The site for all things dark and Brisbane. A rather young quiet scener by the name of Alrey runs this site but it's a good way to catch up on club and band happenings. There's also a web ring and a discussion board that seem to be growing ever popular.

alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.gothic

The only goth newsgroup I bother subscribing to. Sometimes its a bit bereft of real content but it's worth it for the odd gem that pops along.

Reality Check of the Week

Good for a chuckle, good for revenge, this site took over where goth goose left off... a bunch of catty old goths take the piss out of any and all fodder you can send them. Let's just hope they never make it to my site :)

#gothic

I'd probably have to point to Oz.org's #gothic for the most comprehensive Australian gothic IRC channel. I admit I stopped hanging out there a long time ago but any number of Brisbanites still do as do people from all around Australia. Connect to irc.oz.org and join #gothic

Dark Side of the Net

Still the most comprehensive gothic web resource but not the idol that it once was. I find it rather hard to get to where I want to be with this site.

Gallery Serpentine

The online store for the best corset vender in Australia. Serpentine make strong sexy steel boned corsetry that looks as good as a Vollers at a third the price... well worth checking out.

Cyberdog

Cyber-goth, industrial and rave wear beloved by Cybergoths, Industrials and shiney stuff fans all over. A lot of their merchandise is expensive, and only a small portion of their range is available online but it's well worth the money and seriously sexy. You just have to be careful that you're not one 100 people in a club wearing the same damn Cyberdog shirt.

Darkwave/Net.goth homepage

A fairly central resource for net.goths all over and particularly for the London goth scene. This site has links to most of the major goth related FAQs (particularly for usenet groups), mailing lists, online groups, bands etc. It also guides to goth related events in England and is home to the net.goth profile database and Slashgoth, a goth related discussion/news page spoofing Slashdot.

#uk_goffs

The IRC channel for the UK net.goth group; mostly made up of Goth Sluts regulars and their ilk. Connect to irc.netgoth.org.uk and join #uk_goffs

Livejournal

Christ these days everyone's on LJ including half the popular goth bands, clubs and most of every scene. I won't try and list the thousands of communities worth looking at though I will put in a plug for Brisgoth, because I'm a moderator and we get lots of local advertising on... and of course you can access my LJ from the front page of this site.
